Annual College Scholarship Examination and Awards Ceremony
On Wednesday, March 24, 2010, from 6-9pm, the Police Reserve Association will hold its Annual College Scholarship Examination at the Police Academy 235 East 20th Street New York, NY 10003.
There will be eight awards given. One @$2,500, two @$1,500, and five @$1,000. The exam will be administered by Police Reserve Association Board Members and graded by an impartial national testing agency. The exam is open to college bound high school seniors, who will be attending a two or four-year college and be matriculated during the period from September 1, 2010 until August 31, 2011. Proof of acceptance to the school must be provided before awards can be claimed.
The examination is open to sons and daughters of active, retired, living, and deceased U.M.O.S. of the NYPD. This exam is not open to civilian members of the Department.

Winners will be notified in May 2010, and the awards presentations will take place in June 2010. Exact date of presentation to be determined at a later date.
All applications must be in by February 26, 2010 to be eligible to take the exam.
The Police Reserve Association is a nonprofit foundation of volunteer business and community leaders who for over 91 years have supported the NYPD. Educational scholarships for police children and M.O.S. highlight our endeavor to raise the public awareness of police excellence.
