More than 250 friends of the Police Reserve joined us for an exciting and fun filled evening.
The event took place at Bayard’s at One Hanover Square in the financial district. Peter & Harry Poulakakos, Bayard’s owners pulled out all the stops to enable a wonderful atmosphere filled with top of the line food and drink.
Each guest was given a “Gift-Pak” filled with four premium cigars donated by Davidoff USA, cigar cutter and lighter. Michael Herklots the General Manager of Davidoff was on hand to mingle with our guests and share his expertise.
Entertainment was provided by an over the top Cuban Band who played for the entire evening. We also had DJ’s on each floor who spun soft jazz music and other genres and we were treated to multiple performances by Maya de Silva Chafe and her troupee of talented Flamenco Dances. Our thanks to Aaron Gleason Band and retired detective Frank Pionegro for his Frank Sinatra medley.
Special thanks to our event chairman Jeffrey Jacobs and his wonderful wife Felicia for all their help in making the evening a huge success. Also thanks to our event committee who worked diligently to support the operations of this event.
SPIFFNYC was on hand to provide haircuts, shaves, massages and shoe shines for all of our guests who chose to partake. Additionally there were two professional massage therapists on hand to lessen the tension one felt.
Celebrity appearances were provided by Randy Jones (The Cowboy in the Village People Group). He mixed with the crowd and made everyone feel special.
The NYPD Pipes and Drums honored us with a performance that was moving and gave verification to all that they are the best in the world.
Our sponsors provided more than $25,000 worth of raffles for our Chinese Auction. We can’t thank them enough for sharing in our mission.
We are already planning to do this again next year. With your help and support we hope to surpass this years success.
We want to thank all our Fraternal, Religious, Ethnic and Line organizations for their support. As they know 100% of all revenue goes right back to the organizations
in scholarships.
